Apprentices and Students
There is a lively exchange between the different year groups and apprenticeships.
Years of Buss
The Buss Group was founded in Hamburg in 1920.
With dual training, you are at two learning locations: at vocational school for the theory and at our training company for the practice. The linking of theory and practice is particularly important to us during training. You will be able to apply what you have learned at the vocational school during your practical phases in the company: During your training, you will be involved in the day-to-day business in various areas of Buss and work independently on challenging tasks. In this way, you will gain valuable experience and take on your first responsibilities.
In our IT department you will learn all about system installation and configuration. You will support users, put new programs into operation and ensure that everything runs smoothly.
Your place of work is the port of Hamburg. Whether lashing or unloading, stacking or stowing - every day brings exciting tasks. In addition to high physical fitness, logical thinking and spatial imagination are also required.
In cooperation with the renowned Hamburg School of Business Administration HSBA we offer you two dual study programs in business administration leading to a bachelor's degree. The innovative dual study program lasts three years and is internationally oriented. It combines a demanding education on campus with extensive practical phases of several weeks in our company. In the third year, you then have the opportunity to choose an individual focus of study.
Lecturers from the Economy
In addition to their duties at HSBA, the lecturers are also active in business themselves. This enables them to substantiate many theories with vivid practical examples. This makes learning more exciting, more tangible and easier.
Interactive Lectures in small groups
By limiting the number of students to a maximum of 30, many group discussions can take place in one course. Also, individual questions can be answered more extensively in the small groups.
Highly motivated and open-minded students
At HSBA, students are generally very motivated and eager to learn from theory and practice, to gain new experiences and to get to know fellow students.
Student life beyond the campus
Even beyond the campus, great friendships form among the students, a lot is experienced together. Especially before the Corona pandemic, the HSBA parties, events and excursions were very beneficial to the exchange among students.
